Inventors Clinic Update: Pill Mill, a Sewer-Safe Solution for Prescription Disposal

Today’s segment of Live Inventors Clinic features Ann Wakeman, inventor of the Pill Mill, hosted by Kedma Ough and Sean Chesney. As a nurse who has thrown away hundreds of pounds of prescription medication down the toilet throughout her career, Ann Wakeman decided to develop a solution to protect our sewer water. When prescription medications get flushed down the toilet, a common practice in the health industry, those pharmaceutical chemicals then contaminate the water. The Pill Mill grinds and mixes medications with recycled paper which can later be incinerated for safe disposal.

Due to the high cost of patents and prototypes, Ann is seeking funding resources to invest the Pill Mill so she may bring it to market.
